Creating a ProViewer takes your project file and copies it, incorporating all of the pictures, movies and sounds into a single playable program called a ProViewer. The ProViewer can be viewed on any other Macintosh without the use of another program. (However, QuickTime must be installed to run a ProViewer!)
The original project file, pictures, movies and sounds are not altered when you create a ProViewer.
The project file must be saved before you can use this command.
Choose Create ProViewer from the File menu. The first dialog to appear is the platform dialog. You may create a ProViewer for Macintosh or create a ProViewer for Macintosh and a ProViewer for Windows. (You can not create one ProViewer that runs on both platforms.)
The ProViewer options dialog will appear next.
Select the options you want and press create. You will then get the standard save file dialog box. Choose the name and place you to which you wish to save the file and press “save”. That’s it. ProView will do the rest. You may now copy and distribute your ProViewer pursuant to the licensing agreement.
The File menu in the ProViewer contains only Close Window, Run Slide Show and Quit. The Page menu will not appear in the ProViewer, as the ProViewer is not user editable.
